bikecommuters.com had an article on heat stroke. It said the symptoms of heat-related illness are:

1) Dizziness
2) Nausea
3) Sudden fatigue
4) Headaches
5) Blurred vision

I thought to myself "How is that different than any other day when you have multiple chemical sensitivity?" Heck, I could pull those off easily when it's ten below zero here, all I'd need to do is take off my respirator or walk outside when my neighbor is doing laundry.

After thinking about it, MCS would probably feature "profound fatigue" or inescapable fatigue" instead of the sudden variety. "Weird one-sided migraines that last for 2-4 weeks" should take the place of a regular headache. And that's just for starters, there's certainly a bunch more symptoms we all have besides those 5 listed. Heat stroke? Those guys have it easy.

In these parts, they air commercials to call 9-1-1 if you have any of these symptoms:

Weakness - Sudden loss of strength or sudden numbness in the face, arm or leg, even if temporary.

Trouble speaking - Sudden difficulty speaking or understanding or sudden confusion, even if temporary.

Vision problems - Sudden trouble with vision, even if temporary.

Headache - Sudden severe and unusual headache.

Dizziness - Sudden loss of balance, especially with any of the above signs.

Again, all of the above can be the result of chemical exposures. If I could be around medical personell without it almost killing me, I'd start calling just to let them know how serious exposures can be for us. As it is, if I do have a life threatening symptom, I'm on my own, cause calling for help from the system the way it currently is, would be the end of me.
