One quick look at his record should embarass the other career politicians by comparison. The guy's got guts, is willing to stand up and speak out for what he feels is right, and usually his moral compass is accurate and well ahead of public opinion that eventually, and much more meekly, comes to the same conclusion.

Although there are probably other local politicians who choose to serve their people rather than the corporations, or who truly try to help the regular voters, Kucinich, Russ Feingold, and Ron Paul are the only ones who seem to actually take a stand for the things which are right and just (even though I don't agree with all of Ron Paul's or even some of Feingold's views). Some politicians can talk about "Joe 6 Pack" all they want, but their record doesn't back it up, not even close. Sad thing is, for many Americans, talking about J6P is enough for them to believe it.

It's a darn shame when out of 100 Senators and 435 Congressmen, you can only name 3 of them which are any good. And if my family is reading this, yes, it's just yet another reason why I want to move to Canada...still (cleaner air and universal health care too-healthcare which I might add, despite all the horror stories in the corporate media, is consistenlty ranked by every single independent healthcare rating organization-WAY better than the USAs. If you want a real healthcare horror story let me tell you about the problems I've had with my last two HMOs and some of the doctors here).

With the exception of Kucinich, Feingold and Paul, people vote for all the wrong reasons, and 3 out of 535 isn't going to turn this country around. 3 out of 535 is a consolation prize, a fleeting glimpse of what could have been or what it once was. The great ship is sinking, and the last few bubbles are rising to the surface.

This is a stellar post, Lou!
